Airport Codes - offered by the International Air Transport Association, this site lists the airport codes for all of the world's major airports.

Air Transport Association This organization, representing all of the major U. S. Airlines, offers information for the flying traveler. The information available includes: airline accidents, fatalities, maintenance, security programs, and training of airline employees.

Earthquake Info from the U.S.G.S. this site provides information about the latest earthquakes, hazards and preparedness, and all sorts of other information - probably more than you ever wanted to know.

European Horizons, Inc. Hotels, Train Schedules & Fares, Dining & Shopping, Arts & Entertainment, Major Sights, Transportation and General Facts for 21 European Countries.

Fare Compare - sponsored by Microsoft's Expedia, it offers free registration. After you type in your origin and destination, Expedia lists fares, carriers and restrictions. On line booking is offered. Unfortunately, this service lists all of the lowest fares, even though they may have been sold out. You tap into the same database used by travel agents; however, a travel agent may find a lower price because of negotiated discounts they may may have with airlines.

Farefinder - sponsored by Preview Travel, this site claims to track the lowest fares among the thirty major airlines and seventeen vacation destinations. The database is updated two times a day and posts only those fares which are available for booking. On line booking is offered. You tap into the same database used by travel agents; however, a travel agent may find a lower price because of negotiated discounts they may may have with airlines.

National Transportation Safety Board This site provides information about accident statistics for the airline industry; this research is compiled monthly. There are also reports about about airline safety issues.

UNITED AIRLINES allows you to search for flight information on UAL, as well as other airlines; a very useful site.

Vacations.Com Specify the type of vacation and region in the world and Find-A-Trip will offer suggestions. You can request more specific information after you choose a destination.

World Travel Guide Thorough information about countries including history, customs and government. Select a country by clicking on a map or through an alphabetical listing. Also includes a Hotel Finder.
